All major types of DASH MPDs (media presentation descriptions) are supported, including:
- MPEG-DASH Full profile
- MPEG-DASH ISO Base media file format On Demand profile
- MPEG-DASH ISO Base media file format live profile.
Adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming is also supported for multi-bitrate DASH MPDs.
Viblast’s DASH functionality comes with support for Google Widevine and Microsoft PlayReady DRM-protected streams. This multi-DRM functionality (a combination of PlayReady+Widevine is also supported) was developed in cooperation with our friends from Axinom. This means that you do not need to put any extra effort in accommodating your DRM solution to take advantage of our video optimization technology.
What is more, Viblast is the first to offer support for DASH streams where audio and video streams are contained in MPEG-TS.
