Introduction
A few months ago we posted a series of articles on our P2P-assisted, complete software-based video delivery solution, Viblast ePDN. The theme was not only an introduction to the technology (both metaphorical and technical), but we also wanted to show our readers the difference between the two implementations of the solution - for broadcasters and for enterprises.
You can follow the links in the paragraph above in case you have missed the articles.

Introduction - Virtual reality
Virtual reality is a term known since the late 50s when the translation of Antonin Astraud’s collection of essays The Theatre and Its Double (1938) was published in 1958. Its meaning has changed substantially since it was first used to describe the objects in a theatre. Nowadays it refers to a computer technology which main characteristic is replicating an environment in such a way that it stimulates and allows for user interaction. The environment can be real or imagined, but if it is similar to the real world the experience is more lifelike. However, when it comes to games, there is a significant difference between the VR simulation and real life.
This month has been extremely generous when it comes to news - a few days ago we announced that as of May 9th Viblast Player is completely free regardless of the number of viewers and impressions, and has no logo in its upper left angle. The last stated fact is working in the name of our viewers’ QoE.
Moreover, we have our brand new portal up and running already though still in development. So, expect more amazing news in this direction!
On May 3rd the Gartner Report - Cool Vendors in Unified Communications, 2016 - was published and Viblast was recognized in it.
As stated in the report, “This report focuses on vendors from around the globe that are offering a suite of enhancement capabilities. These are raising the bar on quality and enriching end-user experiences, while improving network performance, strengthening security and reducing UCC deployment costs.”
As of May 9 2016 Viblast Player is completely free regardless of the number of viewers and impressions. And, unlike the previous free version of the player, the current one has no Viblast Player logo in its upper left angle. Thus, you have the full functionality of the player at no cost.
For those of you who need advanced support, we have updated support plans. For more information, go to the pricing plans on our website.
This is only part of the good news - we also have a brand new customer portal with some amazing features: it has Viblast Player Visual configuration tools and is extremely intuitive and easy to work with!
Sign up and discover all the other cool features that make Viblast Portal one of the best ways to manage your streams! And, since it is still in the process of development, we can assure you that there are going to be many more great things to come!

When it comes to business, people always consider three things prior to others:
The resources they would need to provide a certain service
The quality of the service they are capable to achieve
In the previous article, we talked about what is P2P, how does it generally work and how it’s implemented in video streaming. In case you have missed it, you can read it here.
And if you prefer reading something that is not too technical but will still give you a good idea of what this series is all about, the introductory article to the Viblast PDN series is a must!

Introduction
Or how traffic is not a problem of roads but of resources!
When we started working on our products and we were slowly paving our way to making a difference, we realized that we were in a situation which was under the reign of centralized networks. Since we were aware that the situation as it was couldn’t get better in any way if its grounds stayed the same, change was point one in our agenda and it was more than logical that we turn to a different approach and develop a solution that decentralizes the network resources. This was it! This kind of thinking was able to make a difference.
